Those of you who speak French will know that paroles is lyrics in French. Now, I’ve always had some link or other to music lyrics, but most of them ended up letting me down. The French on the other hand are serious when it comes to lyrics; I’m not saying it’s perfect, but you’re more likely to find all Prince’s lyrics here without being interrupted by pop-up ads than most other places…

One of the original links I posted when I started putting links on my site in 2000. I’ll say again what I said then; I find his work inspires me to write – there are so many layers. I love his use of colour and texture, and his unique eye for sensuality. Alonzo sent me a thank you e-mail once for putting him down as one of my links, and I promised him that when I was rich I would buy one of his pieces. Someday soon…

Not only is he one of my favourite singer/songwriters (He wrote the song I connect with the most in this world, Tracks of My Tears) , but he’s so into food that, like Paul Newman, he has his own food company! But the coolest thing is, as you browse the site, you can listen to Smokey hits; how amazing is that?!
